Maxin' and relaxin' in my sister's yard - with a view! Can we move here, please?
Our longest day of driving - driving, driving, driving - and through some winding, crazy highways in the pouring rain. We had our sights set on Vancouver, and nothing was going to stop us. We did manage to see some gorgeous sights along the way - like this view over Osoyoos!
On the road again! With the #1 highway washed out from the flooding, we changed our route to Vancouver to traveling on the #3 highway through the Crowsnest pass. It was very scenic, though it rained much of the time. We stopped in Sparwood to see the world's largest truck, and stopped to appreciate the incredible Frank Slide. Our plans may have changed, but we enjoyed the trip just as much - maybe even more!
We had a great turn out at the reunion, even with the flooding happening in Calgary which prevented some from making the trip. It is amazing to see our family growing by leaps and bounds like this. I feel blessed!
A glorious first day of our family reunion. I got to meet and cuddle with my new grandniece, my kids reconnected with their cousins, and even though it poured rain, we all found the fun!
