B showing off a "goatee" from a hunk of some kind of animal hair, during her class field trip to Last Mountain House!
Family day 2013! Lots of fun at Chuck E Cheese, purchasing two new baby bunnies, swimming at the YMCA, then a movie night at home with a Frozen Yogurt treat! We enjoyed every single second :)
This Valentine's Day was all about the goodies! First, we woke up to a surprise of HUGE red velvet cupcakes (Lyndon bought one for each of his ladies), then I met Lyndon at our favorite Chinese buffet for lunch (amazing), and I finished off the day by making red velvet crepes with mascarpone cream filling and chocolate ganache for dinner. A full tummy, and a full heart!
B was outside, bright and early, scraping and brushing the snow off the van for me. Little did she know, it was a nice enough day that they would be walking to school, and I wouldn't be using the van. It was a nice gesture all the same :)
I took some time to pop by and watch BB at her swimming lessons. She is also quite at home in the water. It was fun to see her swim on her front, on her back, and to jump into the water without any modicum of fear. We've got another awesome swimmer on our hands!
Time to test out the new oven by baking 3.5 dozen cookies AT THE SAME TIME. Having four trays of cookies, baking in just 7 minutes TOTAL was such a revelation. They turned out even and beautiful. LOVE MY OVEN!
JJ loves to dress up in all kinds of different things. She gets in a mood and just goes with it. Today, she was a cowgirl, so it was only fitting that we served cow"grill" cheese sandwiches!
A night of hilaroty ensues when these young women get together for a night of improv. I was so impressed by TJ's quick wit. She is so funny. I was also impressed that she invited her school friend, J, to come along. What a great example!
After suffering from extremely sore feet during (and after) my workouts, we splurged on a new pair of FABULOUS running shoes. The best part was, they were 40% off because Sportmart is closing. BONUS!
A happy 36 to my main squeeze! He got the day off work so he spent the day helping me with a photoshoot, running errands, and having fun together. In this photo, he was making a little girl (whom I was photographing) smile. I love this guy!!
